Turkish internal minister Ali Yralikaya said that after the death of an 81 -year -old man, the beg was pulled under the debris. Twenty -nine people were injured, Yolikaya said, 16 buildings collapsed.
The minister said that search and rescue operations were concluded, there were no other signs of serious damage or casualties.
President Recep Taip Erdogan wished all the people affected by the earthquake well and said that immediate steps were taken to help the affected people.
“God can protect our country from any kind of disaster,” he posted on his X account.
Earthquakes are common in Türkiye as the country is located at the top of the major mistake lines.
More than 53,000 people were killed when an earthquake of 7.8 occurred in 2023 with an earthquake of 7.8.
