The overall season was not good, but especially the men disappointed us again. Therefore, we are currently considering not to continue the men’s shoe department. Since the demand for men’s shoes has continued to decrease in the past seasons, I had not disposed of new goods in addition to Skechers in the current spring/summer season, so that we only sold our previous year’s stocks except Skechers. However, the majority of our customers have not even noticed that we had no new goods on sandals, Brown Shoes etc. Only Skechers and Heydude were really in demand anyway. Most men are known to be need buyers and want to buy the shoes again anyway-except at Skechers, they explicitly ask for the Ballack skiers and now also buy them in blue, white or khaki. Other sneakers, regardless of which suppliers, were practically not in demand; The same applies to sandals and brown shoes, only casual styles from Clarks or Bugatti find attention here and there. We will now see in the coming autumn how the men’s shoe business is developing and then making a decision. Basically, as the largest house at the Bad Kissingen location, we of course also feel an obligation and would still like to be there for the men. Since a neighboring comfortable shoe store at the Schweinfurt location has recently closed, I may continue to see potential here to possibly continue to rely on men’s shoes. We will see. The money is generally no longer so relaxed with customers; And as a citizen I have to say: I can understand people who are unsettled and currently keep their money together because they do not know what is politically awaiting them. And we also retailers are still left in the rain. I have to say that it is very disappointing that it is apparently the large industry that is in the focus of our new federal government- it is medium-sized companies whether craftsman or retail businesses that are the backbone of our economy!
