Putin Trump Alaska Summit: Melania, wife of US President Donald Trump, wrote a letter to President Putin. President Trump has removed this letter to Trump during the Alaska Summit.

According to White House officials, Melania of Slovenian origin was not involved in the visit, but they brought their concern about the status of Ukraine and Russia’s children to Putin in writing. The officials did not tell about what was written in the letter, but confirmed that it has been raised the issue of kidnapping of children especially during the Ukraine War. This is the same sensitive topic that Ukraine has been raising voice in international forums for a long time.
Ukraine’s big charge on Russia
Ukraine says that Russia has so far kidnapped thousands of children and forcibly captured it and has either been sent to Russia or has been kept in the occupied areas. The Ukraine government has termed it as ‘Genocide’ according to international law. The United Nations Human Rights Office has also stated in its report that millions of Ukrainian children have faced suffering and violations of rights after a full -scale attack of Russia, which started in 2022.
It has been claimed by Russia that it is doing so to ‘protect weak and orphans from the war sector’. But Kyiv and Western countries consider it to be war crime. A meeting between Trump and Putin held a meeting for three hours in Alaska on Friday, but no concrete steps could be decided to stop the war.
