US messenger Vitcoff ‘Hope’ ‘Trump-Zelanski talks
Senior American envoy Steve Witcoff said he was “expecting” the “productive meeting” with Ukrainian President Volodimare Zelanski and European leader at the White House on Monday, as Washington finished without a struggle break before Ukraine.
“I hope we have a productive meeting on Monday, we meet for real consensus, we are able to come back to Russian and carry forward this peace deal and complete it,” Witchoff told us to Broadcaster CNN.
The messenger stated that Russia created “some concessions” during the Alaska Summit, which was centrally in the five Ukrainian regions for Moscow’s purposes, in clear context of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, Zaporizhia and Crimea region.
Vitkoff said Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed that the US could “provide security like Article 5” to Ukraine, which refers to NATO’s commitment to protect any member under the attack.
The messenger stated that the first time he agreed to the Russian leader, the security guarantee was agreed as a “game-changing”.
He defended US President Donald Trump’s decision to leave his push to Russia to agree to an immediate ceasefire, saying that the President moved towards a pile because so much progress was made.
“We covered all other issues required for the peace agreement,” said Witcofof.
Meanwhile, Trump wrote on his true social platform that without “great progress” on Russia, without expansion.
US State Secretary Marco Rubio told CBS that if the peace deal was to be abolished, both sides need to give concessions.
