Hamas delegation in Egypt receives a new ceasefire proposal – reports
Hamas dialogues in Cairo recently have a new proposal for a ceasefire in Gaza, who asks the initial 60-day truste and hostage release in two batches, on Monday a Palestinian officer told the French AFP news agency.
The officer said on the condition of anonymity to the AFP, “The proposal is a framework agreement to start a conversation on a permanent ceasefire.”
The official said that “Hamas will conduct internal consultation between his leadership” and along with leaders of other Palestinian groups to review the proposal from mediators.
Hamas said last week as to what a senior delegation did to negotiate to secure the ceasefire in the Egyptian capital.
Egyptian Foreign Minister Badar Abdeltti crossed the Rafah border with Gaza on Monday.
The Egyptian top diplomat said, “As we now speak, the Egyptian soil has delegations of Palestinian and Qatari, who are working to intensify the efforts to abolish systematic murder and starvation.”
Abdeltti last week stated that the fellow intermediaries would “release the 60-day truses to work with Qatar and the United States,” the release of some mortgage and some Palestinians would protect the wide and humanitarian and medical aid flow.
Qatar hosted a conversation of more than two weeks last month, but they ended without any progress.
The war in Gaza, which began after Hamas -led terrorist attack on Southern Israel on 7 October, 2023, killing 1,200 people in Israel, some 250 and hostage, now in about 23rd month. According to the health office in the Hamas-Sarkar Enclave, more than 62,000 Palestinians have died since the onset of the war. The United Nations considers data reliable.
