The German Football Federation (DFB) on Sunday started investigating the incidents of racist misconduct in two German cups matches.
A DFB spokesman on Monday told Germany’s DPA news agency, “The Supervisory Committee is investigating the incident and is starting an investigation against the concerned clubs.”
What happened in weekend matches?
Megil, after Skulke’s 1–0 victory, was suspended in the 13th minute after Shalke’s Christopher Antavi-EdJE in Locomotive Leapzig after an additional time.
The match was interrupted for about three minutes. The announcer of the stadium then urged supporters to avoid using racist or discriminatory language.
After the game, German-born Left-Winger, who represents Ghana’s national team, said he had reported the incident to the assistant referee.
“This is not acceptable, not on this day and the age, not at all,” said Antvy-AdJE.
He told Sky TV, “I do not want to repeat the words that were used, but it is disappointing. I am not the type of going home and crying, but still it is disappointing that it is on the field thesis,” he told Sky TV.
Lok leipzig said that no one else had reported the alleged racist abuse.
After the game started again, Shalke player was provoked by the fans of the house, which he touched the ball.

“While it is necessary to deal with this serious issue quickly, let’s stop speculating and blame before the match report and the police investigation results have been evaluated,” Winkler told the DPA.
Gianni Infantino calls DFB to punish criminals
FIFA chairman Gianni Infantino criticized both the incidents, stating that he hoped that DFB clarified what is happiness and criminals would be punished.
“I will repeat myself and I will keep doing it: in football, there is no place for racism or other forms of discrimination,” Infantino said.
“FIFA, the players’ committee and the entire football community are standing by the people affected by these events – we are firm to ensure that the players are growing and preserved and competition organizers and law enforcement agencies take appropriation measures.”
