Choguel Kokalla Maiga, The ex-prime minister of Mali, was formally charged with Embezlement of Public Funds and placed in prison on Tuesday-Deepening concerns over Menting Political Repression Under the Country’s Ruling Military Juntary. Maiga was sacked in 2024 after criticising the junta’s grip on power.
