The Supervisory Board of Intersport Deutschland eG has the contracts of Dr. Alexander von Preen, CEO, and Thomas Storck, deputy chairman and CFO, prematurely extended until 2029. The company thus confirms its strategic direction as part of the “Best in Sports: Up for Future” initiative. Henriette Tesch, COO since October 2024, completes the group’s management team.

Already in the first half of the current financial year 2024/25, the success of the strategy taken was shown: Your own online marketplace Intersport.de had a sales growth of 17 %.

Intersport wants to continue its future course powerfully: by 2030, 100 new locations should be created under the Intersport brand together with the members-both in the premium segment with the flagship concept and in the price entry area with the new super store concept.
“Our goal remains to make access to sport and health in Germany possible for everyone and to develop the network resilient and future -proof, because sport and health are systemically relevant and are critical of success for the development of our society,” emphasizes von Preen.
Krumholz adds: “It has also been shown how important our investments are in the future: Intersport Germany is now much more digital, innovative and closer to our customers and on the market. In addition, sustainability is a key topic – not only for Intersport Next Generation, but for the future – if only because of the scarcity of natural resources.”
