Conservative Pandit Charlie Kirk shot dead in Utah – DW – 09/10/2025

Charlie Kirk, the leading orthodox Pandit and media personality, was shot dead during a visit to Utah Valley University on Wednesday.

Kirk, who was a supporter of US President Donald Trump, was CEO and co-founder of Connivetive Youth Organization Turning Point USA.

Trump posted on the truth after the news of the shooting, “We all should pray for Charlie Kirk … a great person from top to bottom.”

Trump later posted on stage that 31 -year -old Kirk died, after the spokesperson Andrew Coalwate confirmed the death.

What do we know about shooting?

A university spokesperson told NBC News that Kirk was speaking at an event when a single shot was burnt, “what he took away from the campus with the hit and his security team.”

The university had said that a suspected was in custody, but later said that the person expanded that the shooter was not real.

The initial statement said that a bullet was fired from a nearby building.

A video of the social media incident and verified by the Associated Press shows that Kirk speaks under a white tent when a loud crack can be heard, after which Kirk grabbed his neck, in which the blood was poured from a wound.

Various news agencies reported that Kirk was taken to the hospital after the shooting.

FBI director Kash Patel posted on X that “the agents will quickly be at the scene and the FBI is standing in full support of the ongoing response and investigation.”

American MPs reduced political violence

Both Democrats and Republican described shooting as an Act of political violence.

The Democrat Senate minority leader Chak Shumor wrote on X, “There is no place for political violence in the US. This shooting is increasing very much, and I am praying for Charlie Kirk and his family.”

Republican Senate majority leader John Theun posted: “There is no place in our country for political violence. The period, full break. Please join me praying for Charlie Kirk.”
