The global service provider will take over the entire operational handling of the European e-commerce business from the second half of 2026.
While Arvato will be responsible for the online business in the future, the supply of Europe-wide Snipes stores will continue to be located in the in-house distribution center in Wesseling. This is intended to strengthen the location and secure the jobs there in the long term.
An important advantage of cooperation is near the Arvato location Dorsten, the Snipes headquarters in Cologne and the distribution center in Wesseling. According to both companies, this enables efficient operational control and short delivery times.
“Cooperation with Arvato is a strategic step into the future for snipes. This enables the logistical requirements of our e-commerce business and the planned quantity growth of the coming years to be optimally managed,” explains Simon Bus, company spokesman for snipes.
Arvato also sees a signal for long-term growth in the cooperation: “With our many years of expertise in fashion logistics, the most modern automation solutions and a committed team, we create the basis for highly efficient e-commerce processing,” says Axel Mayer, President Lifestyle Fashion & Sports at Arvato.
Arvato is one of the world’s leading logistics service providers and is active with around 18,000 employees at 100 locations. In addition to the fashion segment, the company works in the areas of Consumer Products, Tech, Healthcare, Automotive and Publishing.
