Thousands of people were ordered to be vacated on Thursday evening in Central Berlin, when the World War II bomb was discovered in the Spri River.
Police installed a 500 -meter security circumference in an area with a denial population at the center of the German capital.
The officials went to the door-to-door within the security perimeter to inform the residents of the withdrawal order.
Police said about 10,000 people were asked to leave their homes.

A spokesperson said the residents were allowed to return to their homes on Friday morning.

Thursday’s bomb settlement withdrawal was one of the largest in Berlin in recent years.
Another bomb is to be defined in Spondau
Meanwhile, in Spandou district of Berlin, a 100 kg war -time bomb discovered on Wednesday is expected to be defined on Friday.
A security area is installed around the site, and a local gym is opened as an emergency shelter for withdrawal.
Since the bomb did not immediately create a danger situation, the police later decided to defuse it. The site has been closed, and according to the policy, it has been preserved by the authorities since then.
About 12,400 people have been vacated in the district.
