Venezuela US Tension: Venezuela has launched its Su-30 MK2 fighter jets in the Caribbean, challenging the American naval dominance. Equipped with KH-31 missiles, these jets are a big threat to American warkeeper.
Venezuela has challenged the American naval dominance and deployed the KH-31 missiles in the SU-30 MK2 fighter jets Caribbean. SU-30 MK2 jets of Russian origin are fourth generation multirol fighters. Their firepower increases further when they are equipped with KH-31 missiles. The KH-31 missile speed is 3,300–4,300 km/h and it can attack from a distance of 110–250 km. The KH-31A variant is capable of sinking ships such as frigate and distrient while KH-31PD can eliminate radar and air defense system. There is also a big threat to large American ships.
Venezuela’s military strengths and challenges
Venezuela has about 21 su-30mk2 jets. However, some of these are kept in storage due to technical problems. Nevertheless, their deployment is being considered a warning for America. 22 aircraft, 12 warships and 20 boats are participating in these exercises.
The special thing is that both Russia and India use KH-31 on their su-30 fighters. Russia recently named him in Ukraine War and named him “Supersonic Death”. India also bought these missiles in 2001 and is now developing its indigenous Rudram-II.
