Donald Trump changed the rules of H1-B visa, ₹ 8800000 will have to be given every year
US President Donald Trump has made a big announcement on Friday to implement new conditions for H-1B Visa (H-1B Visa). Now to get this visa, companies will have to pay a fee of $ 1 lakh (about 83 lakh rupees) every year. This decision can affect millions of foreign professionals, especially on Indian IT and Technology sector, which is the most dependent on America’s H-1B visa. Trump said, ‘I think the tech industry will be happy with this decision.’

At the same time, the staff secretary of the White House, Will Sharf, described it as a step to stop the misuse in the H-1B system. According to him, this program should be only for those people who work rare and high-skilled in America, not for such work that American professionals can also do. The H-1B visa started in 1990, so that the US could hire high-educated and expert foreign professionals in areas where there is a shortage of American workforce. But critics say that over time companies started taking advantage of it wrongly.

Companies pay fees

Actually, no person can take a H-1B visa himself. To get this, you need an American company. The same company sends applications to the US government and says that it needs an employee with skills like you. The company fills all the papers and pays fees to the government. Till now this fee was very low, so many big IT companies and consultancy firms used to apply thousands of millions. Due to this, entry-level jobs in America were filled with foreign engineers.

President Trump has now decided that the company will have to pay around Rs 88 lakh for every application. This amount is very big, so now companies will apply only for those people whose skill is very important. The direct effect of this will be that small businesses and startups will not be able to spend so much money and will reduce the sponsoring foreign workers.
