New Delhi. Changing the provisions of H1B visa by the Trump government of America remains a matter of discussion. The impact of the new rules is being said to have the most on India. Talking on this subject on Sunday, former diplomat Mahesh Sachdev said that this decision of Trump is like a two-striped sword, which will harm India as well as America.

Former diplomat Mahesh Sachdev told IANS, “The new order issued by US President Donald Trump regarding H1B visa will have a direct impact on India, because H1B visas are used by most Indian citizens. Last year, India’s participation in H1B visa holders was 71 percent, in which most of the IT sector workers were. It is said that these people replace their citizens in America. This is the reason why they have decided to impose an additional fee for H1B visas.

Sachdev said, “Indian IT sector and company will be affected by this decision. After this decision, there will be a ban on Indians going to America and there will be a decrease in the number. At the same time, Indian companies will have to use American citizens. Now IT companies will have to work like a back office from India, because it has not yet imposed any restriction on it. This decision is like two -strired swords; This will harm India.”

He explained that the US is engaged in such a competition with China, where it needs a lot of innovation. In such a situation, if the US bans people coming from outside, then innovation will be damaged and America may lag behind in its competition with China. America has always taken an edge because it allows foreign qualified persons to come here and allow to work. For example, all the startups that are open in Silicon Valley, more than half of the people of Indian origin.
