On Wednesday, the officials in Bangkok, the Thai capital of Bangkok, were dealing with a large sinkhole that appeared when a piece of the busy road fell into a 50 meter (160 ft) ground.
Sinkhol appeared in front of the main hospitals of the city and near a police station in a residential neighborhood of the city. The site was closed and the people living nearby and working nearby were asked to vacate.
Suriachai Ravivan, head of Bangkok disaster agency, told the AFP news agency that the possibility of heavy rains erases a large underground water pipe that may already be leaked, which can cause damage.
Sinkhole is growing slowly
Thailand’s Prime Minister Anutin Charverakul told reporters that “an underground train was slipping into dirt, increasing the issue.
“Fortunately there are no deaths or injuries,” he said.
Footage on social media was shown by the pieces of road slowly drowning in the ground, which was beating the hole. Utilities and power in the area were affected by the incident.
Local authorities warned the residents and spectators to stay away, saying that the area was still dangerous.
