Italy says that only 1 Navy ship is being sent to Gaza Flotila
The Ministry of Defense of Italy has said that only a naval ship will be sent to protect Global Sumud Flotila (GSF) which is leading to Gaza.
On Wednesday, the Ministry sent “Fasan” warship after the GSF International Aid convoy begged by a drone as it made its way from Gaza coast to Gaza coast.
Earlier on Thursday, Italian Defense Minister Guido Croceo said that “Alpino” would be sent to the same area that Fasan had deployed bees.
But later he clarified that Alpino would replace Fasan instead of joining it.
Croseo said that neither Frigette would have any escort duty.
The minister, who belongs to the right -wing populist brothers of the Italian party of Prime Minister Georgia Meloni, called the workers at Flotila, who did not try to block the Gaza of Israel, which has been since 2007.
“To expose human life to risk where this rescue is not possible to interfere with wood, there is no meaning and will complicate unnecessary hazards,” Croceo said.

Gaza aid to send a warship to protect Flotila
Apart from Italy, Spain has stated that it is sending a naval ship to protect boats in global Sumud Flotila, aimed at providing assistance to Gaza Strip.
The group reported several incidents of drones leaving flares and flash bombs on 51 boats of the convoy.
The Italian right -wing government has not supported the workers in Flotila and urged them to violate the blockade of Israel, which is before the Hamas -led attacks in the Palestinian region and the upcoming military operations in the Palestinian region on October 7, 2023.
However, Italian Defense Minister Guido tried to “do the work of humanity” and “not a provocation” to the efforts to bring food and medicine to hundreds of thousands of people facing malnutrition and disease.
Italy announced on Thursday that it would send additional naval vessel to protect Floral, after reports of drone attacks on ships, as they left Greece An Marg towards Gaza.
Two previous attempts to dissolve the Israeli blockade failed in summer when the Israeli Navy stopped the boats and deported its living. Israel has blocked its land, sea and air blockade since 2007, when the terrorist group Hamas captured the Palestinian strip.
