S jaishankar un speech 10 points: Indian Foreign Minister S.K. Jaishankar addressed the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UN Assembly) in New York on Saturday. During this address, he spoke on the responsibility and existence of the United Nations. He said that in view of the ongoing crisis in the world, it needs improvement and expansion. He told in the address that there is a need to expand the number of permanent and temporary members in the UN amidst increasing problems in the world. He also told that India is ready to take more responsibility. He indirectly demanded India’s permanent membership in his speech. Let’s look at the 10 important things of his speech.

The President, His Excellency, Ladies and Gentlemen, greetings from the people of India. We have gathered here eight decades after the establishment of this unique institution. The United Nations Charter not only to stop war from us, but to establish peace; Calls not only to protect rights, but also to maintain the dignity of every human being. It challenges us to stand as a good neighbor, unite our power so that the coming generations to inherit the world of justice, progress and permanent freedom.

Since the establishment of the United Nations, the powers inspired by history have carried forward this institution. As the colonialism ended, the world began to return to its natural diversity, the UN membership quadrupled and the role of the organization and the scope increased greatly.

In the era of globalization, its agenda developed even more. Development came to the target center, while climate change emerged as a shared priority. Trade gained more importance, while access to food and healthcare was considered essential for global welfare. As far as security is concerned, the United Nations launched a peace establishment campaign and promoted discussions on disarmament. As a result, the United Nations chief became a natural platform to debate global issues.

Madam Speaker, today we should ask ourselves: How much has the United Nations expectations have lived up? And consider the situation of the world. Two important conflicts are going on – one in Ukraine, and the other in the Middle East/West Asia. Countless other sensitive issues do not come even in the news. The slow progress of Sustainable Development Target Agenda 2030 is presenting a tragic picture.

In the case of climate change, reality is repeatedly repeated commitments and creative accounting. If questions are raised on climate action, then what is the expectation of climate justice? When the upcoming epidemic attacked us once in the century, we saw open discrimination in vaccines and travel to travel.

Energy and food security, especially since 2022, are struggling. Developed countries kept themselves safe by taking initiative. People struggling with lack of resources continued to struggle to stay alive. In terms of business, non-market practices played with rules and arrangements. Now we are seeing instability and uncertain market access to tariffs. Reducing risk is a increasing compulsion; Whether it is from limited sources of supply or excessive dependence on a particular market.

Being a member of the United Nations, we meet here as sovereign. This is not a formality, but is a recognition of the diversity of our world. Naturally our history, our traditions, heritage and culture are different. But for co-existence, we have to promote mutual understanding and respect to make each other prosperous. This will be possible only when we oppose political intervention and economic pressures, when they are freed from prejudice, when dual criteria will be renounced and when pluralism is true.

Foreign Minister said that it is our priority to combat terrorism without naming Pakistan on terrorism. India has been facing this challenge since independence, because its neighbor is the center of global terrorism. Large international terrorist attacks for decades are connected to the same country. Its citizens are filled in the UN’s list of terrorists. The latest example of cross -border cross -barbarity was the murder of innocent tourists in Pahalgam in April this year. India exercised its right to protect its people against terrorism and put its supporters and criminals in the dock of justice.

On the issue of Gaza and Ukraine, S Jaishankar called upon those countries who can work together with both sides of the struggle to come forward and find solutions. He said, ‘India calls for ending enmity and will support any initiative that helps in restoring peace.’ He said that the impact of these two warfare was also felt by those countries which were not involved in it.

India is going on with three major three concepts and moving from all over the world- self-reliance, self-defense and confidence. Talking in detail on this, he said- Self-reliance: It means developing its abilities, building their powers and nurturing their talent. Whether it is in manufacturing, space programs, pharma production or digital applications. The world also benefits from construction, innovation and design in India. Self -defense: We are firm to protect our people in the country and abroad and protect their interests. This means zero tolerance towards terrorism. Self-confidence: As the most populous country, as a decent state, as a rapidly growing major economy, we have full belief of who we are and what will be.
