S Jaishankar US News: Dr. S. in UNGA. Jaishankar attacked America’s trade policies indirectly and said that ‘de-discning’ is compulsion today. At the same time, Russian Foreign Minister Lavarov praised India and said that India-Russia partnership is not in any danger.

US President Donald Trump recently taunted the economies of Russia and India and described them as an ‘dead economy’. Apart from this, America also imposed tariffs on buying crude oil from Russia. But now both India and Russia have retaliated from the same America land. In the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) running in New York, India’s Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar and Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavarov gave an outstanding message. Dr. Jaishankar directly attacked America’s trade policies without naming in his address and told that America is not worth trusting. At the same time, Lavarov praised India and said that a third country cannot change their relationship.
Russia praises India
At the same time, Russian External Affairs Minister Lavarov praised India’s independent foreign policy and the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Russian External Affairs Minister Sergei Lavarov said that the economic relations of India-Russia are not in danger despite the secondary sanction and pressure imposed by the US. He also emphasized that the relationship between India and Russia is not just economic but a ‘privileged strategic partnership’. He reminded that recently Prime Minister Modi and President Putin met at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) conference held in China and Putin’s visit to India in December.
‘Russia-India will not decide the third country’
He said that India and Russia have deep cooperation in many areas such as trade, defense, technology, health, AI and coordination in global forums. Lavrov gave a clear message to the US that the India-Russia relations will not be decided on the terms of a third country. He said, ‘India can talk to them whatever conditions America want to present. But the relations between India and Russia will be decided only between the two countries, not from any third country. He further said, ‘We have full respect for the national interests of India and the foreign policy of Narendra Modi.’
