The state media of the South East Asian nation reported that Typhoon Buloy made a landfall in Vietnam before flooding, airport closure and withdrawal of thousands of residents.
The storm hit Vietnam to north of its largest province, predicting as soon as possible, with a speed of more than 130 kilometers. The rains from the storm had already caused floods in the steel belt of Central Vietnam on Saturday.
According to the National Weather Forecast Agency, at 8:00 am (0100 GMT), Bualoi was more than a province, where its speed weakened by 88 kilometers per hour.
Reuters reported that one person was killed when Bik was caught in flood waters, while a dozen fishermen were reported to be disappeared amidst sea bounce. Meanwhile, the Associated Press reported that a person died before the electrocution on Sunday.
Typhoon has killed at least 11 people in the Philippines over the weekend.
Warning of flood and landslide
Next to Buloy’s landfall, the Vietnamese government vacated at least 28,500 inhabitants of the weak area.
Hundreds of flights were ether cancell or delayed as four airports in the central region were closed due to heavy rains and floods.
The National Center for Hydro-Memological Forecasting warned that the storm is likely to grow slow on the ground, bringing extended periods of air and rain that can trigger flash floods and landlines.
Due to its geographical location, with a long shortline facing the South China Sea, Vietnam is in danger of searching typhoon. Its Agriculture Ministry says that more than 100 people have died due to natural disasters in the first seven months of 2025.
