A FIFRO report on 2024–25 football season highlights concerns on the amount of football players in men’s game. Major findings cover many regions of anxiety, perhaps most specially released calendar cones and excessive heat.
The 32-Team Club World Cup puts heavy pressure on the players, with some, such as Achraf Hakimi, as the result, their weather stretch throughout the year.
The report stated that Paris St.-Germen, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Manchester City and Bavaria Munich were all severely shortened due to their offson and competition for the current campaign. Without deteriorating security and better load management, the conter is that special players in the 2026 World Cup are at risk.
FIFPRO reports that the consensus of medical experts is that the competition regulation should include minimum four weeks, allowing for adequate recovery to allow for a minimum of two days between appearances and the increasing burden of the spectacle of the journey.
Fifrow Consultant Dr. “You have not found the right storm with a human being in a media call to submit the report.”
“You have prepared the recommended off-season to play players to play again and again after a large number of games. The cycle keeps repeating the cycle again.”
“This hurts the worst and the best ability to perform.”
Heat a real anxiety
The report was one of the other major concerns in the report, which was first exposed for five years when FIFPRO began distributing these annual reports.
Alexander Bilefeld said, “This year, it was necessary to include it in the report this year, with influence in the club World Cup and the effect towards the World Cup in the US.”
“Player is clearly increasing the risk for health.”
Using the Club World Cup as a case study, the report found that four games in the US reached a temperature above 28C (82F), which meant them under FIFPRO guidelines that meant them. The temperature was observed in another 17 sports that was close to the cancellation limit.
“This is an issue that affects a lot of different sports markets in the context of a warming planet. Club World Cup was a wake-up call in this regard and a bad example of dealing properly with the circumstances.”
On one occasion, Borusia Dortmund sat under his option because the temperature outside was very high.
Han Azi, a professional health and safety expert for the International Laboratory Organization, said, “Play hard and long athletes, more than coming in contact with heat, fatigue and dizziness increases the risk for heat and long -term diseases.”
According to FIFRO report, six of the 16 host cities for the World Cup classified as a “extreme risk” for heat -related diseases, a concern for players and fans. With 48 teams involved in three countries with three diverse climate, an increase in fatigue is a serious risk.
The case has been recently made more complex by US President Donald Trump, stating that he would pursue matches from host cities, which he considered very dangerous, stating that San Francisco and Seattle “were cities run by the fundamental left lunatics.”
what happens next?
Along with FIFRO, the current calendar is currently engaged in legal action for the congestion nature of the calendar and voices from the playing group are also increasing, hopefully the tangible change is in the way. The Sangh of the players believes that the year of accumulated data gives overweight to their argents, and that the game is a real understanding in the game that no one disputes that the load management is an issue.
“There is a significant change in the discourse,” said Bilefeld. “This is not enough. We need immediate action, but we are in a very different place compared to two-three years ago.”
The General Secretary of FIFPRO said, “We will continue to fight for the best possible results on this issue and many other issues.”
“But they all boil on the same issue that the system is not working.”
Meanwhile, the football schedule rolls and the World Cup is large. It will be the largest version of the competition with 48 teams and 104 games. Fans can only hope that in the next summer, the world’s best players will be quite fit and healthy to participate.
