Indian shot dead in Texas, US

Texas: A 27 -year -old Indian student from Hyderabad was allegedly shot dead while working at a petrol pump in Dallas, USA. The victims moved to America in 2023 after completing the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Hyderabad. He recently completed his master’s degree and was looking for some full time employment while working part time at the petrol pump.

The firing took place during the night shift, when an unknown gunman opened fire. Detailed information related to the incident is awaited as the investigation is on. The family of the pole has appealed to the Government of India to help in sending his body home. In Hyderabad, BRS MLA Sudhir Reddy and former Minister T Harish Rao met the family and expressed their condolences.

In an online post, Rao described the murder as a “tragic” incident and urged the government to take immediate steps to bring back the student’s body. He wrote, “The pain that the parents are going through, knowing that his son, which he felt that he would have achieved great achievements, is no longer, he is very sad.” He further said, “We, on behalf of BRS, demands from the state government that every effort should be made to bring Chandrashekhar’s body to his hometown at the earliest.”
