Late on Sunday night, a judge issued a order to block the deployment of troops in the US city Portland, Oregon.
US President Donald Trump ordered the deployment of about 200 members of the California National Guard from Los Angeles to Portland, the Pentagon announced on Sunday.
In a statement, the Defense Department claimed that the soldiers would be sent to the largest city in Oregon “to demonstrate official duties to support immigration and customs enforcement (ICE) and other personnel to support the personnel of other personnel, and to protect the idea.”
Federal Ice Building in Portland has recently been the site of night protests that the city and state officials desk as “small and deception”. On the other hand, Trump has designed the city as a “war-exploitation”.
Why do Trump want to send soldiers?
The move to rub soldiers from California is an attempt to ignore a federal judge’s order on Saturday, which temporarily blocked them by deploying 200 soldiers from Oregon’s National Guard, said Oregon’s Governor Tina Kotake.
“The facts on the ground in Oregon have not changed,” Kotek said during a news conference on Sunday. “There is no need for military intervention in Oregon. No one is uncontrolled in Portland, there is no threat to national security. Oregon is our home, not military goals.”
On Saturday, District Judge Karin Emergut – appointed by Trump – disagreeed with the claims of the White House that Portland is a “war zone”, and said that the city’s “regular law enforcement forces” were able to deal with clashes.
Evergut stated that Trump’s description of Portland “is only uncontrolled for facts.” The deployment of the troupe has been blocked by at least 18 October.
On Sunday, Evergart blocked the deployment of Trump of 200 California soldiers in Oregon after a joint trial by California and Oregon.
California, Oregon Governor Trump disputes claims
Gavin Newsom, the governor of California, said the deployment was “frightening” and “United Nations-American”.
“It’s about power,” Newsom said on X. “He is using his own army as a political pawn to build our own ego.”
Newsom, a Democrat, first spared with Trump when the US President sent National Guard soldiers and American Marines to respond to immigration protests at Los Angeles this year.
Newsom said that members of the National Guard coming to Portland were placed under Trump’s control during unrest in Los Angeles in June.
The Governor of California vowed to fight the move in the court, urged the public to remain silent in front of such careless and ruling conduct. “
Trump then sending troops to Chicago
After the announcement that the soldiers would run to Portland again, Illinois’s Democratic Governor, JB Pritjkar said late Sunday night that the Trump was ordering 400 members of the Texas National Guard for deployment at Illinois, Oregon “and other places.”
The Trump administration has designed Chicago as the “most dangerous city in the world”.
While the largest city of Illinois has witnessed regular protests against the operation of federal snow, Pritjkar has dismissed Trump’s claim that the crime is out of control.
“Now we should start to say what it is: Trump’s invasion. It began with federal agents, it will soon involve the federal of Illinois National Guard against our wishes, and will now include sending to military soldiers of another states,” In a post on Sunday night, he said while insisting from Texas Governor Garg Abbat.
“There is no reason that a President should send military soldiers to a sovereign state without their knowledge, consent or cooperation,” Pitjkar said.
Abbott, a Republican, has stated that he completely authorized the deployment.
“You can either apply safety for federal employees to fully implement or remove the Texas guard to do it,” Abbott said on X, “Abbott said.
Since returning to the White House in January, Trump sent the National Guard to the Washington DC, where he said the crime was “out of control”, despite the claims contrary to the city officials.
Trump has sent all cities or threatened to send trips, allegedly run by Democrats to fight high crime.
