With 111 appearances and 18 goals for her country, Sara Debritz has announced her retirement from the international football stage at the age of 30. The midfielder won the gold medal at the 2016 Olympics along with the European Championship in 2013.
“If someone told me all this that when I was a small five-year-old girl-I hardly believed in it. But this was really my biggest dream,” she wrote in an Instagram post, announcing the verdict.
“From the first match to the last, I was a jersey with pride, joy and humility. It was a great privilege to play for my country.”
Däbritz made his debut to Germany in 2013 just before the European Championship. In the tournament, she appeared as an alternative in the group stage and quarter -finals, helping her country to lift her eighth continental title.
Over the next 12 years, she will join every major competition for Germany, which will become a prominent of an era that saw an increase in the popularity of both domestic and international women.
For him, seizing that rise was an important part of his career.
“I saw both sides – stadiums were sold with an unprecedented atmosphere from the 2,000 audience games.
Despite their plans, there is no longer a plan to play for the national team, Däbritz has never plans to leave football. His next challenge wants to be with Real Madrid. She joined the Spanish side in this summer after a mantra with Leon and Paris St.-Germen in France.
Däbritz follows the maps of the veteran forward Alexandra Pope and Swenja Huth, along with the goalkeeper Marley from, who has called time on his German career since the 2023 World Cup since the 2023 World Cup.
