Us news: Recently, Indian-American Hindu leader Suhag Shukla was agitated on MP from Thiruvanantapuram Lok Sabha seat in Kerala and MP from Congress leader Shashi Tharoor. Tharoor recently questioned US President Donald Trump’s tariff and H-1B visa fees as well as the ‘silence’ of Indian-American migrants on the tension relationship between Indo-US. The statement of Indian-American Hindu leader Suhag Shukla has come in this statement of Tharoor. He has attacked Shashi Tharoor to incorrectly present the participation of Indian-American migrants on Indo-US issues.

Rent to Shashi Tharoor’s statement
Suhag Shukla reacted sharply to Congress MP Shashi Tharoor’s statement on the ‘silence’ of American migrants. Tharoor said why Indian-American leaders do not oppose American policies in India’s interest on H-1B visa fees, tariffs and other issues. Tharoor questioned the inactivity of the diaspora. And said that it is amazing. Responding to this, Shukla wrote in his article in The print, ‘We are not proxy of the Government of India.’ He said that leaders like Tharoor should not expect Diaspora to support India’s policies, because India does not take advice on oil policy or import duty. Our loyalty is towards America, but we present India’s positive image.
Fighting for Hindu rights
Shukla said that the diaspora is already fighting for Hindu rights, but Tharoor’s statement underestimated his hard work. This dispute is debating on the role of Diaspora in Indo-US relations. Their attitude shows that diaspora is an independent voice that promotes India’s interests, but fulfills her responsibility as an American citizen. According to 7 October 2025, 07:06 AM IST, this issue remains the subject of discussion on social media, and Shukla’s statement is getting support.
