The queue to exit Ethereum staking reaches the sky

As of October 9, more than 2.4 million ethers (ETH) are waiting to come out of Ethereum staking. With the price of ETH hovering around $4,400, those funds represent around $10.5 billion in assets in the process of being withdrawn.

These data are seen in the following graph (red line for outputs and blue for inputs):

The staking exit mechanism in Ethereum is organized in a queue of validators who request to withdraw their funds, who must wait a certain time before being able to access them. This so that the security of the network is not affected.

At the moment, that period is estimated at 41 daysaccording to the number of validators pending to complete the output.

Meanwhile, others 1.3 million ethers are waiting to enter stakingwhich would offset the outputs of network validation.

Ethereum staking withdrawal requests may respond to capital management strategies by validators, which they would choose to take profits together with the accumulated returns of your participation.

At the time of writing, Ethereum has around 35 million ethers staked.
