Since the announcement of its closure, on September 15, the BNB Chain development team indicated that no further updates, bug fixes, or support will be provided for BEW. Likewise, he warned that, although those who have the wallet installed can still access it, keep in mind that they use it at their own risk.
As steps to follow for users, he first urged them to secure their initial phrase or private wallet keys. “Please backup them safely before uninstalling BEW” and “never share them with anyone, not even the BNB Chain team,” he stressed.
