Trump Zelensky Meeting: There is going to be an important meeting between Trump and Zelensky in the White House. Ukraine is asking for long-range Tomahawk missiles. Trump had talked to Putin on the phone for two and a half hours a day earlier.

Although Trump has not yet approved it, but even after talking to Putin, he did not completely reject this possibility. According to CNN, Trump said in the phone call that he was ‘keeping all options open’.
Trump’s meeting with Putin fixed in Hungary
Trump has announced that he will meet Putin in Hungary in the next two weeks. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has been openly expressing support for Russia. This meeting of Trump may prove to decide the future of the Ukraine war. Analysts believe that if Trump agreed to a temporary ceasefire or trade-off with Putin, it would be a diplomatic blow to Zelensky.
Rollercoaster story of Trump-Zelensky relationship
- February 2025: The first meeting at the White House was very tense. Trump and Vice President JD Vance called Zelensky ‘disrespectful’ and he was asked to leave the meeting.
- April 2025: The two had a private conversation during the funeral of Pope Francis – for the first time the atmosphere seemed a bit soft.
- June 2025: At the NATO summit, Trump said that the ceasefire is proving to be more difficult than expected. Zelensky looked happy with this meeting.
- August 2025: Following Trump and Putin’s Alaska meeting, European leaders and Zelensky rushed to the White House to maintain US support.
- September 2025: During the UN General Assembly, Trump posted that ‘Kiev can get all of Ukraine back in its old form.’
Experts believe that Trump is establishing his position as ‘kingmaker’ by talking to both sides. If America gives Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, pressure against Russia will increase. But if any ‘deal talk’ between Trump and Putin moves forward in Hungary, then Ukraine may have to go on the back foot.
