New York Road: A proud moment for Sikh Sangat, road named after Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Ji in New York

New Delhi. A street in New York, America, has been named after the Sikh Guru Sahib ‘Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji’. Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri himself gave this information. Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri posted on social media platform

He said this fitting honor highlights the importance of the Sikh community in Richmond Hill and recognizes the contribution of Sikh heritage to the cultural fabric of New York City, where I have lived during my appointment as India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations from 2009 to 2013.

Let us tell you that the family of Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has Joda Sahib of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and Mata Sahib Kaur Ji, whose service their family has been taking care of for the last three hundred years and now the family has decided to offer them for the darshan of Sangat at Takht Sri Patna Sahib, the birthplace of Guru Sahib.

He told that the sacred form of Guru Granth Sahib and the five beloved Sahibs will also be present in the yatra. On the night of 22nd October, there will be a special Kirtan Samagam at Gurudwara Moti Bagh Sahib, in which Jora Sahib will be kept for the darshan of the Sangat. Next day Charan Suhawa Yatra will start from Gurudwara Moti Bagh and reach Faridabad at night, on 24th from Faridabad to Agra, on 25th from Agra to Bareilly, on 26th from Bareilly to Manghapur, on 27th to Manghapur to Lucknow, on 28th to Lucknow to Kanpur, on 29th to Kanpur to Prayagraj, on 30th from Prayagraj to Sasaram via Banaras, on 31st from Sasaram to Gurudwara. Will reach Guru Ka Bagh Patna Sahib and It will start from Guru Ka Bagh in the morning on 1st November and end at Takht Patna Sahib.
