The shocking thing is that the driver of Indian origin was driving the truck under the influence of drugs. This is a complete violation of American law. The accused truck driver has been identified as Jashnpreet Singh. Jashnapreet is a resident of Punjab. After this incident, the Trump government has once again got an opportunity to take a strict stance against migrants. The White House has expressed a sharp reaction to this incident. White House spokesperson Caroline Levitt said that Jashanpreet Singh is an undocumented immigrant, who was issued a commercial vehicle license by the California administration. On August 12, three people were killed in an accident involving a truck driven by a person named Harjinder Singh in Florida, America. After this the opinion regarding migrants had changed.

A horrific road accident occurred on Wednesday (22 October 2025) on the I-10 freeway in Ontario, California, USA. Indian citizen Jashanpreet Singh, resident of Punjab, was arrested in the accident. Local police said that Jashanpreet was driving the truck at high speed under the influence of drugs. After this the truck collided with several vehicles and three people died. According to the report, Jashnpreet was caught illegally entering the California border in March 2022 and was later released. He is currently in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has now imposed a detainer request on him.
