German FM Wadeful will deliver message to Israeli government

German Foreign Minister Johann Wadeful is scheduled to stop in Israel on Saturday on his way back from a tour of the Middle East.

He is scheduled to meet Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar in Tel Aviv and deliver messages on behalf of various Middle Eastern leaders.

Wadeful has already visited Jordan, Syria and Lebanon during a tour of the region that began on Wednesday.

Also on Saturday, Wadeful will address the Manama Dialogue regional security conference in Bahrain, joining other international attendees including US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, British Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper and Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi.

Germany is working to reach an agreement on deportations to Syria

Germany’s Interior Ministry said it stands by its intention to deport asylum seekers to Syria, despite recent comments by Foreign Minister Johann Waddefull expressing dismay at the widespread devastation caused by the recent civil war.

An Interior Ministry spokesman said Editorial Network Germany On Saturday that the coalition government had agreed to carry out deportations to Syria “starting with criminals”.

“The Federal Interior Ministry is currently working on an agreement with Syria to make the withdrawal possible,” the spokesman said.

German President starts Africa tour in Egypt

German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier will visit Egypt on Saturday where he will attend the inauguration of the Grand Egyptian Museum near Cairo.

The new Archaeological Museum is home to over 100,000 objects from ancient Egypt to the Pharaonic, Greek and Roman periods.

The collection includes Tutankhamun’s burial equipment, including his golden death mask, which will be displayed as a complete set for the first time.

Steinmeier intends to use the opportunity to hold bilateral talks in Cairo with Egyptian President Abdul Fatah al-Sisi and other visiting leaders. They are ready to discuss the ceasefire situation in Gaza.

Steinmeier will then continue his Africa tour with a visit to Ghana as well as Angola, where he will be the first German head of state to visit the country.
