“We will not see a global Bitcoin without privacy by default”: Sergi Delgado

  • Silent Payments improves privacy without direct legal risk.

  • Lightning is more usable, but loses momentum to new capes like Ark.

In interview with CriptoNoticiasSergi Delgado, developer of projects like The Eye of Satoshi and currently part of the 2140 team, explained how Silent Payments are positioning themselves as one of the most promising privacy solutions in Bitcoin. Unlike coinjoins or mixers, this technology does not need coordinators or third parties, which reduces legal risk for developers and users. Silent Payments allows you to reuse a single public address without sacrificing privacy, automatically generating new addresses for each payment. This prevents payment tracking without the need for interaction between user and payer, and integrates natively with Taproot.
