Klarna will launch its stablecoin on Tempo

Klarna, a digital bank based in Sweden, announced yesterday, November 25, that it is working to launch a stablecoin pegged to the US dollar.

The product will be called KlarnaUSD and Its public launch is planned for 2026.

The stablecoin will live on Tempo, a network created by Stripe, the online payments giant. Paradigm, a digital asset investment firm, is also part of the project.

The token will be issued via Bridge, a platform that provides infrastructure to stablecoinswhich was acquired by Stripe in 2024, as reported by CriptoNoticias.

From Klarna they indicated that the stablecoin is in the testing phase on the testnet. Likewise, the banking entity works with Stripe to integrate the product into its network of businesses and payment platforms.

This will allow Users can make international purchasesapart from traditional systems such as SWIFT.

“With stablecoin transactions already reaching 27 trillion (trillionsin English) dollars per year, we are providing faster and cheaper cross-border payments to our 114 million customers,” expressed from the Swedish banking entity.

Finally, Klarna announced that More collaborations related to cryptocurrency network technology are coming in the coming weeks.
