thank you so much Join us as Germany awaits a major debate on pensions, with the government hoping to build a majority from within itself.

Bavaria’s conservative Christian Democrats want to expand pensions for women who have had children, but some young conservatives are opposing it on the grounds of the cost to future generations.

This worries the coalition that it will not be able to win a majority, although the situation has been eased by the Socialist Left Party saying it will abstain.
