Only an ASIC from Bitmain’s Antminer S23 line, with 1,160 TH/s, surpasses the new Bitdeer equipment.
The SEALMINER A4 Ultra Hydro model would currently generate USD 7.4 net daily.
Today, April 7, Bitdeer presented the SealMiner A4 Series, its new line of Bitcoin mining equipment. The SealMiner A4 Ultra Hydro model achieves a hashrate of 886 terahashes per second (TH/s) with an energy efficiency of 9.45 joules per terahash (J/TH), which positions it as the second most powerful Bitcoin ASIC available on the market.
The only device that surpasses the A4 Ultra Hydro in power is the Antminer S23 Hyd 3U from Bitmain, the Chinese manufacturer that dominates the Bitcoin ASIC market. That model reaches 1,160 TH/s, although with an energy consumption of 11,020 watts compared to the 8,372 watts of the Bitdeer team.
The three new devices from Bitdeer, a company dedicated to BTC mining and high-performance computing (HPC), will go on sale in May. This launch reinforces the company’s position in the mining sector, given that, as reported by CriptoNoticias, the company at the end of February had announced the sale of all its bitcoin (BTC) holdings, which led to suspicions that the company would move away from mining to focus on HPC and artificial intelligence (AI).
The three models of the A4 Series
The A4 Series includes three devices with different levels of performance and cooling systems, depending on the web by Bitdeer. The aforementioned SealMiner A4 Ultra Hydro is followed by the A4 Pro Hydro device, with 680 TH/s and 10.9 J/TH and the A4 Pro Air model, the lowest power model in the series, reaches 336 TH/s with the same efficiency of 10.9 J/TH.

The first two models use water cooling (Hydro), a system that Allows more heat to be dissipated and higher speeds to be sustained stably.
The A4 Pro Air, for its part, uses conventional air cooling, making it more accessible for operations that do not have liquid cooling infrastructure.
The top 3 on the market
According to the data of ASIC Miner Value and Whattominethe ranking of the three Bitcoin ASICs with the highest computing power (hashrate) available on the market is as follows with the launch of the A4 Series:
- First, the Antminer S23 Hyd 3U from Bitmainwith 1,160 TH/s, which produces estimated daily net earnings of USD 9.57 and is worth almost USD 7,800 (with an electricity price of 0.10 kWh.).
- Second, Bitdeer’s SealMiner A4 Ultra Hydrowith 886 TH/s and generating daily net income of USD 7.42 (the value of this ASIC is not yet known).
- Third, the Antminer S23e Hyd 2U from Bitmainwith 865 TH/s and daily net profits of USD 6.10 (a market value of almost USD 12,000).
The launch occurs while the mining industry is going through one of the worst profitability crises in its history due to the fact that, among other factors, the price of bitcoin (BTC) fell around 40% from its all-time high last October and that directly impacted the hashprice metric, which measures daily revenue per computing unit contributed to the network.
In this framework, more efficient equipment improves the relative position of those who adopt them, but not the profitability of the sector as a whole: with a low BTC value and if the global hashrate continues to grow, the difficulty of the network will continue to adjust upwards and margins will continue to be under pressure for everyone.
