A fragile two-week affair between Iran and the United States hung in the balance on Wednesday as Tehran threatened renewed hostilities and Israel launched heavy strikes on Lebanon. Both sides claimed victory, but at least 182 people were killed and nearly 900 wounded, Lebanese authorities said.
