US comedian and TV host Jimmy Kimmel hit back on Tuesday after Donald Trump called for his firing over a joke about Melania Trump, made days before an alleged assassination attempt on the president. Kimmel referred to the first lady as an “expectant widow”, defending his remark as a playful jab at the couple’s age gap.
