New boutique concept for Zara Man

The newly designed Zara Man store is presented in the style of a large, tastefully furnished apartment and with an ambience that customers are more accustomed to from luxury brands. The 700 square meter rooms, spread over two floors, are designed differently depending on the collection and are equipped with carefully selected vintage chairs made of chrome-plated metal and leather on light carpets.

An ambience in light beige and gray tones was chosen for the Origins collection. On a large counter, customers can also expect a reduced selection of vinyl records, which can be listened to on the record player, including speakers, located next to it. The customers sit on black designer chairs next to a retro motorcycle. The Athleticz sports line presents itself in a cool ambience with merchandise tables made of rough concrete slabs and transparent acrylic tube lamps on the ceiling as well as a retro bicycle on the surface. Changing art exhibitions hang on the stairs to the upper floor, which visitors can view comfortably from the lounge area. The photo artist Juan Baraja starts with a series of photos taken in the Zara pattern department.

Boutique area

An exclusive boutique area dedicated to limited special collections combines dark wooden walls and dim lighting with art books to browse and purchase in an elegant and relaxed living room atmosphere. An entire wall here is dedicated to the capsule collection of selected men’s loafers from local premium shoe brand Casa Castellano. This is the first time that Inditex has undertaken a joint project with a Spanish brand to sell shoes that do not come from the production of the home supplier Tempe in Elche near Alicante. The traditional Spanish house Casa Castellano, founded in 1920, is known for its classic loafers and moccasins in premium quality and for a design that has hardly changed over the years. The shoes are very well known and popular, especially in Madrid. A series of seven models was put together for the capsule collection, including the classic 800, which are only available in the newly opened Zara Man store and online.

The idea behind this is the fashion giant to move away from the “fast fashion” model and towards the “fast couture” model and, instead of fashion, to “democratize” high-quality manufacturing, design, shopping experience, traditional craftsmanship and quality.
