As Legero United announced, Florian Fuchs will take over responsibility for sales, marketing, HR and finance as managing director. He also acts as managing director of the Think business unit.
After several years in his career at Deloitte, the Boston Consulting Group and as Managing Director at MM Group, Fuchs has been working at Legero United as Director Executive Projects since May 2024.
Stefan Stolitzka, managing director since 1991 and owner since 1994 of the Austrian shoe manufacturer, in which Ara AG became a minority shareholder in 1997, remains responsible as CEO for the product development of the Superfit, Legero and Think business units.
Since January 1st, the Executive Board has consisted of Florian Fuchs, Morten Bay Jensen and Stefan Stolitzka.
The Graz-based shoe supplier says that the philosophy of operating independently and having the family continue to lead the company in the next generation is a strategic concern for owner Stefan Stolitzka. “Appointing a family member to the Executive Board ensures stability, especially in times of volatile market conditions. Our employees, specialist retailers and our partners benefit from this,” says Stefan Stolitzka. “Florian has familiarized himself extensively with all business areas and is well prepared for his new role,” says the entrepreneur. “Legero United has developed into a leading international shoe manufacturer over the past three decades. We want to continue on this path. I see great growth potential in our brands and our capable global team of over 2,100 employees and look forward to driving forward the business development of legero united together with Stefan Stolitzka and Morten Bay Jensen,” says Florian Fuchs.
The family business, which has existed since 1872 and has around 2,100 employees and headquarters in Feldkirchen near Graz, develops and produces shoes under the brands Superfit, Legero and Think, which are sold in over 40 countries. The company has logistics centers and production facilities in Austria, Hungary, Romania and India and has an international presence with sales companies.
