The name of the new Chief of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has been announced. Dr. V. Narayanan will be the new chief of ISRO. He will join the current Chief S. on January 14. Will replace Somnath. This information was given by issuing a notification late night on 7th January (Tuesday). His tenure will be for 2 years. Let us inform that Somnath took charge as Secretary of the Department of Space on January 14, 2022 for a tenure of three years. Dr. Narayanan is currently the Director of Liquid Propulsion Systems Center (LPSC). He is a distinguished scientist in ISRO.
Dr. V Narayanan has worked in many important positions in the space organization for nearly four decades. He has expertise in rocket and spacecraft propulsion. He was also the Project Director of the C25 Cryogenic Project of the GSLV Mk Ill vehicle.
Know who is Dr. V Narayanan
Dr. Narayanan is a big name in ISRO. He has served as the Project Director of the C25 Cryogenic Project of GSLV Mk III. Under his leadership the team successfully developed the C25 stage. It is an important part of GSLV Mk III. Under the leadership of Dr. Narayanan, LPSC has delivered 183 liquid propulsion systems and control power plants for several ISRO missions. He has also worked on the construction of the second and fourth stages of PSLV. The control power plant for PSLV C57 was also built under his direction. He has also made significant contributions to the propulsion systems of the Aditya spacecraft and the GSLV Mk-III missions, Chandrayaan-2 and Chandrayaan-3.

ISRO scientist Dr. Narayanan has been honored with many awards and honors. These include Silver Medal from IIT Kharagpur, Gold Medal from Astronautical Society of India (ASI) and National Design Award from NDRF.
Somnath took command in 2022
