A bar was destroyed in a massive fire in the Thai capital Bangkok on Monday morning, killing at least 27 people. Officials said that firefighters could control the fire after half an hour of effort.
“Twenty-seven bodies were taken out, lifeless bodies. Some were sent to hospitals, we are investigating their conditions,” Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said in televised comments from the scene of the fire.
A fire broke out in a packed beer house in the Ladprao area of Chatuchak district around midnight, killing several people and injuring several others, according to Thai public broadcaster Thai PBS World.
