Just under 12,000 people, most of them tourists, were evacuated on Thursday in southwest France as a wildfire ravaged a forest in Le Porge. The fire started midday on Wednesday, and hundreds of firefighters have been deployed to the region. France has experienced three heatwaves since May, fueling wildfires.
