Pope Francis warned of the “Jewish protest crisis” on Sunday on the eve of the International Holocost Day, and said that it had completed 80 years of the liberation of the Aushwitz Concentration Camp.
Giving an example of Hungary -born poet Edith Brook -born Hungary -born, Francis said, “During those years, the magnitude of the destruction of millions of Jewish people and other people of different religions should never be forgotten or denied.”
He said that many Christians were also killed in the Nazi concentration camps, “including many martyrs.”
Francis said, “I repeat my appeal to meet everyone to end all kinds of discrimination and religious harassment as well as to end the crisis of Jewish.”
He said, “Let us all together create a more brother -in -law, just to create an open heart for everyone with a sense of brotherhood, forgiveness and peace.”
Pontiff also started an appeal to end the civil war that began in April 2023 in Sudan, stating that it is “creating the most serious humanitarian crisis in the world, even dramatic results in South Sudan Are happening. ”
The Pope also expressed concern over the situation in the Cattumbo region of Columbia, where several civilians have been killed in clashes between armed groups, forcing over 30,000 people to leave their homes.
