Lacoste owner plans to sell The Kooples

MF Brands Group, which includes Lacoste and Aigle among other things among their portfolio, is planning the sale of the brand The Kooples. The group said at the end of January to lead “exclusive negotiations” with the French company Verdoso. The aim is to concentrate the business in the future and to focus on the “company DNA”. According to media reports, Verdoso specializes primarily in investments in stricken companies. The sale should include all assets associated with the brand, as the group explained in a statement to the AFP agency.

The Kooples specializes in clothing clothing and accessories in the lower luxury segment and was founded in Paris in 2008. “The decision results from the intention of MF Brands to re -position the brand to ensure significant growth, and is in line with the group’s strategy to focus on business that match their DNA Portfolio of global premium brands, ”says the statement.
