The fair stretched over five halls in the Bella Center and covered the segments “Contemporary Womenswear”, “Menswear”, “Classic Womenswear” and “Kids”. The Ciff Village, which was located on the upper floors of the event location, was also connected with numerous showrooms of international shoe and fashion brands. In the exhibition halls, the mix of shoes, fashion and accessories convinced. “We are glad that there is no separate shoe hall, but the buyers can look at all segments next to each other when visiting the fair,” said Nick Sogard from the Danish shoe provider Bukela. Some German companies were also at the start at the ciff, including Lloyd with a new brand appearance, Sioux, Jana Shoes and Peter Kaiser. Numerous German shoe providers were also represented in the showrooms. The international audience – mainly from Scandinavian countries and from Germany, but also from southern Europe – was able to stroll through the brightly designed exhibition halls on the ciff and thanks to the deliberately openly designed stands, took a look at the designs for the coming season. “Positive vibes can be felt here,” said an exhibitor. “The dealers come to the ciff to diversify their ranges.”
With regard to the fashion trends, it shows that it remains relaxed, casual and of course – Scandinavian. There is a lot of rope in the DOB collections, as well as fur and fake fur in various “flushing classes” and colors. Leoprints, but also crosswalks and cow stains, staging jackets and accessories. In DOB and HAKA, classic-British elements are fashionable with fishing and caro patterns as well as argyle knit. All in all, the natural color spectrum between dark brown and vanilla as well as off-white to olive-both in the women’s and men’s fashion. Denim continues to play a role, but is less dominant in the collections in Copenhagen.
Several trends are emerging in the shoes: it remains alpine with thick-lined Cosy boots and mountaineering bonds. As an alternative to the sneaker, Loafer and college shoes as well as double monks and full brogue adaptations bring British class to the collections. Animal prints from Leo to Zebra set interesting accents. And boots in exciting variants are likely to conquer the coming winter: Alt Vil Vaere Godt – everything will be fine!
