The US monitoring agencies said that on Saturday evening, 7.6 earthquakes in the Caribbean Sea killed the Caribbean Sea.
The earthquake hit around 130 miles (209 km) from the coast of the Keman Islands at 6:23 pm local time at 6:23 pm.
United States Geological said an earthquake occurred at a shallow depth of 10 km (six mi).
This is the largest earthquake in the region since 2021, when according to the US National Ocean and atmospheric administration, the 7.2 magnitude earthquake killed the South -West Haiti.
Tsunami advice for Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands
According to the US National Tsunami Warning Center, a tsunami advisor released for Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands has been removed.
No alert was issued to the mainland American coast.
The government of the Keman Islands issued a tsunami threat warning on social media. Residents have been asked to “move Indo and go to high ground for their safety.”
