Sam Nujoma, activist and guerrilla leader, who went to become the first elected President of Namibia, died on Saturday at the age of 95.
The Namibian Presidency announced through social media on Sunday.
“It is with great sorrow and sadness that I announce the passage of the Namibian people, our African brothers and sisters and the world on a large scale, our revered freedom fighter and revolutionary leader,” Read. “The foundation of the Republic of Namibia is shaken.”
Nuzoma was admitted to a hospital in Namibian capital Windhok three weeks ago, where he was treated and kept in observation. However, according to the statement, he faced his illness.
He is alive by his wife Kovambbo (91), and children.

Nuzoma was a member of the South West African People’s Organization (SWAPO), who began armed with Angola in Namibia to fight the illegal occupation of South Africa.
That is the credit and the reversal of the Namibian people against South African soldiers, which forced them to withdraw.
On March 21, 1990, the Namibian flag was launched for the first time in front of Sam Nuzoma, a beaming. He led the new democracy until 2005.
Local media recalled the Freedom Fighter by one of its most famous quotes: “A people united, which will always be victorious, trying to get a common good for all members of the society.
