Dachstein, the Austrian outdoor and lifestyle brand, celebrates its 100th anniversary. The specialist for mountain shoes was founded in 1925 by shoemaker Anton Lintner. At the time, Lintner was inspired by the highest peaks in the region- even today, the shoes are still designed in the Dachstein and Salzburg region of Austria. The brand was named after the highest mountain of Upper Austria, the Dachstein. Lintner’s son Toni finally made an internationally leading producer of ski and mountain shoes from the cobbler. Several Olympic medals have been achieved in Dachstein shoes over the years.
For his birthday, Dachstein offers an anniversary collection with “shoes for all adventures”. The museum in the village of Molln will also offer a special exhibition for the anniversary from May 3.
