However, this initiative is not their first collaboration, as there is a precedent that unites Google Cloud and Solana. Google Cloud wants to reduce the risks of hacks and attacks on-line with GameShift

One of the concerns expressed in the Google Cloud statement was linked to the fight against attacks on-line and scams that occur in the cryptocurrency environment in general.

To deal with this problem, one quality of the GameShift platform was highlighted. It is the implementation of wallets invisible without custody. This technology, also used by other platforms such as MetaMask or Trust Wallet, allows users to interact with decentralized applications (dApps) with an individual wallet backed by independent cryptographic keys.

This feature segments player assets, significantly reducing the risk of a mass attack, where a hacker could access all assets at once.

Key management is performed independently of the user, eliminating the risk of key loss or seed phrases poorly managed by the users themselves, a common concern in wallets traditional cryptocurrencies.

Additionally, before approving a transactionthe GameShift system simulates its chain effect and alerts the user to any changes in the information of that operationincreasing visibility and protection against potential fraud.

Google Cloud’s collaboration with Solana Labs focused on GameShift aims to increase security and control of assets for both developers and users, minimizing the risks associated with key management.

Finally, it is also worth noting that, at the time of writing, the announcement made by Google regarding the collaboration with Solana Labs has not had any impact on the price of SOL. Sometimes, positive news linked to a cryptocurrency can generate upward movements in it, however, this has not yet happened with Solana’s native token.
