IRCTC Account: If you book train tickets online, this news is very important for you. Indian Railways (IRCTC) has blocked more than 2 crore suspicious accounts with the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Along with this, more than 20 lakh accounts are still under investigation. This action of the railway has been raised to tighten the fraudsters booking tickets using automated software (BOT).
Why is this action taking place?
Railways have taken this major action to help the passengers. It is often seen that some people book several tickets simultaneously using boat or automated tools, so that normal passengers do not get tickets. A special AI-powered software developed by the Railways has been used to identify and deactivate more than 2.4 crore such accounts in the last six months. Also, 2 million other accounts are marked as suspects and are currently being reviewed for Aadhaar and ID Verifying.
This action is a major relief for those who often face problems during Tatkal ticket booking. This move of the Railways is an important effort to make the online ticket booking system more equitable and reliable.

How many users of IRCTC are there?
Currently IRCTC has more than 13 crore active users. But the problem is that only 1.2 crore accounts of these are Aadhaar verified. IRCTC has decided to closely examine all non-Aadhaar verified accounts. If these accounts are found suspicious, they can be permanently disabled.
If there is Aadhaar link, there will be immediate booking immediately!
To promote transparency in immediate booking and ensure fair access to all, IRCTC is now giving priority to base-linked users during the first 10 minutes of immediate booking. During this time authorized agents are also not allowed to book tickets. This makes Aadhaar verifying even more important for regular passengers.
To avoid any kind of obstruction in your booking, you should link your IRCTC account as soon as possible. This will ensure smooth access to services and will also avoid the account of the account being disabled.
