The investigation into the murder of Raja Raghuvanshi has caused a dramatic turn, Govind Raghuvanshi, brother of Sonam Raghuvanshi, has alleged that his sister is responsible for the crime. He also claimed that the whole family had broken relations with him. Govind expressed condolences to the king’s house in Indore. He also apologized to Sonam’s in -laws. While holding a press conference with Raja’s family, Govind said, “According to the evidence so far, I am 100% sure that he has committed this murder. All the accused in this case are associated with Raj Kushwaha. We have broken our relations with Sonam Raghuvanshi. I apologize to the king’s family.”
On the alleged affair of Sonam and Raj Kushwaha, Govind said, “Raj Kushwaha always used to call her ‘Didi’. Sonam has been tying rakhi to Raj Kushwaha for the last three years.” Meanwhile, Sonam has allegedly confessed her crime in front of the police in Shillong.

Sonam’s brother Govind met Raja’s mother and hugged him and cried a lot. After meeting Govind, King Raghuvanshi’s mother Uma Raghuvanshi said, “Govind said that Sonam should be hanged. She is sad for Sonam, not for the king … Govind is not a mistake.”
He also said, “I asked Govind if he had met Sonam. He said that he had met him for three minutes. I asked him why he did not kill him. He said he did not get a chance, because there was media and police there.”

A total of five people including Sonam and Raj have been arrested in this case so far.
Raja and his wife went to celebrate a honeymoon in Sohra area of Meghalaya on 23 May and went missing. On June 2, the king’s body was found in a ditch. A week later, Sonam also surrendered at a police station in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh.
Sonam and her associates were arrested last month from Indore in Madhya Pradesh and Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh for alleged role in plotting to assassinate King Raghuvanshi.
Additional SP Ashish of East Khasi Hills said, “There is every possibility that he (Sonam Raghuvanshi) is involved in this. But it is difficult to confirm it right now, because the investigation is going on … We are in the initial stage … As soon as we will get new information, we will share it … whatever information is right now, it is not strong.”
SP East Khasi Hills Vivek Sim said, “We have brought the accused here now. Now intensive investigation will begin. We have enough evidence of his involvement. About the whole picture – how much his involvement was and what he did – it will be known later.”
